Bookstore Ministry

Many years ago, at St. James' there was no Bookstore, only the Thrift Shop. But due to the many generous book donations and the need for space for the books, the Bookstore was born, still under the guidance of the Thrift Shop.
Book donations are welcome on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00-1:00 p.m. Please leave all donations, including books, at the Thrift Shop.
Like the Thrift Shop the Bookstore is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The Bookstore enjoys remarkable donations of all genres of books. This allows us to offer the community a source of reasonably-priced books for children, adults, tourists, and various professional sectors. Our Bookstore is a well-received source for Hawaiian and other rare books thanks to our donations. For our young people, we stock a full range of books for toddlers to teens.
With our wonderful donations- “Our mission is to offer free books to Non-Profits and donate books, DVD’s, and sheet music to prison facilities on all islands and prison facilities as far away as Alaska
and Oregon”.
So Hele Mai, come visit us in beautiful Waimea, check out our bookshelves, buy a book or two, chat with our amazing volunteers.
Without our volunteers St. James' could not enjoy such success. If you are interested in joining our volunteer team contact us at (808) 885-4923 or email office@stjameshawaii.org.
From your Bookstore Team, Aloha and hope to see your soon!
